Today Ariz had her cavities fixed. They gave her some med. that made her drowsy that made her feel the effects of being drunk. She was acting really goofy, I couldn't help laughing at her antics in the Dentist office. When it started to hit her she was watching the movie playing on the TV in the waiting room and said "when that movie is over, I'm gonna dance with everyone in here" she preceded to point at everyone in the room say "with him, and her, and him ect...". Later she layed back on my lap and said "I love you Mommy, give me a kiss" I was laughing at her drowsy eyes and rough and heavy movements so she wound up kissing my teeth witch upset her so she turned to face me, grabbed me by my ears and pulled me to kiss her, over and over and over again till they called her back. Normally she freaks out at me or daddy not being there but she willingly went with the nurse with a big goofy grin on her face.

The cavities weren't bad enough that she needed shots to numb her gums for removal so we went out to Denny's to eat afterwards. She is still acting a bit goofy and she tripped twice while walking (I was holding her hand tight). I was told that it would take half the day to ware off

School Fieldtrip

Today Adrian and I went on a school fieldtrip to Santa Barbara Mission. We had a great time, the mission tour was really interesting we bothed loved it and found it facinating. We snapped a lot of pictures and I got a chance to get to know both Adrian's friends and some of there parents. Adrian and I had some long missed alone time (somewhat). We had lunch under some trees across the street from the beach then took the kids down to the sand and they all got to hang out for a while. Adrian and Elijah spent most of the time looking for odd shapped rocks. The ride back was fun also, all the parents seemed to be a bit worn out from the day and the kids seemed to bee ansey to get off the bus and run around so they settled for be routy as kids get to after a sertain point of being confined to a small area. I had such a great time with my boy and his friends, I will be jumping at more opportunities to be involved in his classrooms activities.

Ariz and Alex's first dentist Appointment

Today the kids had there first Dentist appointment. Dr. Purdy and his staff went on and on about how cooperative they were especially Alex since he is only 2. The Dentist said he gets maybe 2 out of 100 kids his age who behave so well during a check-up.

Ariz unfortunately has 5 cavities that will be worked on later, we paid to have her sedated (not put to sleep but something to dull her senses enough that she wont fight the procedure and move and hurt herself.

I'm glad they had such a wonderful experience, I hope Ariz doesn't develop a life long fear of the dentist after her procedure (like me).

Heres hopping.
